N5600 Series Charge & Discharge Tester

N5600 series is a test system developed for the universal test of batteries and electrochemical materials such as lithium ion, nickel metal hydride, nickel-cadmium, and supercapacitor. It is suitable for R&D, production test, quality inspection, production sorting , etc. Various test fixtures are available for option, which supports 18650, 21700 and other typical battery packaging tests, and provides four-wire European-style terminal jacks to meet the requirements of other specifications.

Apart from parameters such as CC charge, CV charge, CP charge, CC discharge, CP discharge, CR discharge, static and cycle testing, N5600 series also supports DCIR test and is compatible with A/h, W/h, F and other measurement methods. The test results can be directly exported, which avoids complex calculation and improves the test efficiency.

High frequency sampling to improve measurement accuracy

The voltage and current sampling rate is less than 10ms. The high sampling rate provides feasibility for accurate capacitance calculation.


Various test fixtures to meet different test demands 
N5600 series provides four optional types of test fixture. The fist type is universal fixture, suitable for various cylindrical batteries. The second type is crocodile clip, suitable for scientific research (including for high-current equipment). Any special-shaped batteries for research purpose can be clamped by leading out the charging & discharging electrodes and measuring electrodes. The third type is  special texture for polymer battery. The fourth type is special texture for button battery. 

Four-electrode measurement to reduce measuring error 
The test fixtures supplied are with 4 electrodes. Two output electrodes are used to provide test current, and two measurement electrodes are used to measure battery voltage. Multi-electrode measurement not only improves the measurement accuracy, but also supports reference electrode test, which is suitable for the research of electrode materials. 

Online correction of voltage and current accuracy to ensure measurement accuracy 
N5600 series supports adjustment and correction of voltage and current accuracy online at any time.

Multiple protection to ensure safety 
1) Each channel is designed with protection circuit to prevent over current and over voltage.
2) All semi-finished products and finished products can only be delivered after aging.
3) N5600 also provide software protection. 

Excellent programming feature for quick test configuration 
1) Up to 256 test steps are supported.
2) The end condition supports settings of time, voltage, current, capacitance, -△V, cycle number, etc. 
3) The end condition supports settings of “≥” or “≤” comparison. 
4) User-defined variant. 
5) N5600 supports AND and OR. 

Data and graphs processing, easy for data analysis and comparison
1) N5600 supports users to set customized data display.
2) N5600 supports users to set customized graph display.
3) The graph supports double-Y axis. Multiple curves can be displayed at the same time.

Power-off memory function to maintain test continuity
During the battery test, when power failure occurs, N5600 system can ensure that no data is lost. After the power is turned on again, N5600 can automatically recover. This function is specially designed for long-term aging test, which can effectively ensure that the data collected for long-term aging test can be stored in case of abnormal power failure or computer crash, etc. After the electricity is supplied again, the system can run properly. 

DCIR test 
Battery DCIR is closely related to the battery charge/discharge rate. Greater DCIR will cause less efficiency and higher temperature. Referring to the equivalent circuit model of a Li-ion battery, traditional measurement method of LCR Meter 1kHz ACIR can only evaluate the conductive resistance (Ro) that affects the instantaneous power output, which cannot evaluate the polarization resistance (Rp) generated during the electrochemical reaction. DCIR test method is closer to the actual polarization effect of power battery continuous current application. 
N5600 has a variety of built-in DCIR test modes and directly exports the results, eliminating the complex calculation and greatly improving test efficiency. N5600 can be widely used for battery and supercapacitor test. 

Compatible with A/h, W/h, F and other capacitance measurement methods
The battery capacity is obtained by integrating current with time. From the beginning of charging & discharging until the end, the performance discrepancy between each product can be analyzed by comparison. The common test items include current rate and temperature characteristic. The higher accuracy of current and voltage measurement and the higher sampling rate can bring more accuracy of different battery capacity discrepancies. 

Cycle life test 
Cycle life is one of the most important test items for batteries. According to different experimental purposes, the same battery is tested under repeated charge & discharge conditions until the capacity declines to 80% of the original. The cycle life test can be used to evaluate the performance of the battery or to define suitable operating conditions.
